In an effort to reduce landfill contribution, The Pack Up Artist strives to disperse as many donatable,reusable,recyclable, items as possible in the downsizing and home clear out process.
When packing our clients for a move, we utilize paper over bubble wrap whenever possible. Not only is it MUCH more affordable, but just as effective, and easy to reuse over and over again!
At our clear out sites, we gather leftover metal and broken appliances, electronics, etc. and work with local scrappers to recycle it free of charge to our clients.
Local animal sanctuaries, tree farms, co-ops, and community groups are often able to make creative use of things donation centers will not accept such as scrap wood, old hoses, building bricks, tarps, old blankets and rugs, etc.
“Craft supplies” is a VERY broad category that lots of folks are interested in! Teachers, artists, homeschool parents, after school programs, mental health and senior living facilities are all looking for arts and craft supplies of every variety- and we find them in every house we clear!
Theaters, artists, furniture restorers, hobbyists, collectors, educators, are just a few of the community groups that benefit from many of the things we come across in our clear outs!
